With a view to inculcate cyber safety knowledge among young college students, Cyber Safety Club of SCB Degree College, Ragdha, Mayurbhanj, has conducted a Special Cyber Safety Awareness Program at its conference hall in association with Betnoti Police Station, Mayurbhanj and Students/ Staff of SCB Higher Secondary School, Ragdha, Mayurbhanj.

The Program saw active participation of students who were made aware about Cyber threats, Safe online habits, dealing with Cyber Space, Cyber crime and the need to inculcate Safe online habits among them.

Speaking about the program, IIC Betnoti Police Station, Smt Susmita Mohanta says that, nowadays students are also actively using the internet for various needs and are very susceptible to Cybercrime. Our aim has been to sensitise them about the security aspects and how they can keep themselves away from fraud.We make them aware about the Cyber threats, understanding the risks associated and adopting safe practices.

Dr Aseema Sahu, Hon’ble Principal of the College urged students to become Cyber Volunteers and actively participate in spreading awareness about Cyber crimes.

Sri Ananta Narayan Mishra, Principal, SCB Higher Secondary School delved into crucial topics related to cyber safety and ethical hacking.

Coordinator of the Cyber Safety Cell, Mrs Suchitra Behera provided insights into preventive measures to safeguard against cyber fraud. She also emphasized the vulnerabilities associated with using social media apps and shared strategies for protection. Sj Trilochan Mishra, HOD Sanskrit and Smt Lipirekha Panda, HOD Education organised the event of- quiz competition, announced the results and distributed the prizes and created an atmosphere of encouragement and excitement.

Sri Gopal Krushna Mohanta, HOD Political Science delivered the warm welcome address, setting an encouraging tone for the event. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr Susanta Kumar Mohanta,  HOD Physics , on behalf of the College.
